because i’ve never known better,
i love the King,
and the King loves me.
what bewilderment!
that just as the Father has loved Me,
so have I loved you.
now remain in my love.
how deeply does His love run,
what breadth, length, height, and depth
as in a relationship,
would you always be questioning
your significant others fondness for you,
although they don’t smother you
with affection every single moment?
then why are we still so prone to
questioning Christ’s love for us
and looking elsewhere for our satisfaction to be fulfilled?
that is the root of all our symptoms of disease
none other than Christ’s love can fill our emptiness,
that He so loved, loved us equally as His Son,
so much to give up His life in exchange to love us
and yet, our hearts are prone to wander,
prone to thirst after other desires,
Spirit, please enable the eyes of our hearts
to be strengthened by Your power
to get it, to understand
that You, Jesus, are crazy about us
to rest secure in the depth of Christ’s love
not to waver day in and day out of Him
in questioning His Goodness
Christ would You reign supremely in our hearts
that our utmost exuberance springs from You
Your love which is greater than life
satisfy our souls, let us enjoy Your presence
to fulfill our sole purpose of existence
so that You may be further magnified and glorified.
